Hello, my name is Alistair Clark, the owner and director, of Southern Riverina Physiotherapy

I was raised in Berrigan and studied at Finley High School. Initially my life goal was to be a pilot and I stated gliding at the ripe ol’ age of 15. I then commenced powered flight training thereafter.
Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with mild colour blindness and that limited the scope of my flying career path. Instead, I decided to join the Army Reserve at 17.
I learnt so much whilst in the forces, including developing my curiosity about the workings of the human body. I began studying body movement and found myself wanting to learn so much more about how the body operated, and how we could utilise it to its best, which set me on the course towards being a physiotherapist.
On leaving the forces I worked for seven years as a personal trainer, loving the health benefits, and working to enable others to improve their health and wellbeing. I returned to study and gained a degree in Exercise Science to increase my knowledge.
To further complement my skills and to fulfil my desire to understand more about the body, and how I could treat injuries, I acquired my Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy.
Still not satisfied with my limitation in skills and ability to treat and prevent injury, and to satiate my desire to know more. I set to learn more about treating the mechanics of the body, again returning to study, to achieve my Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra.
It was whilst studying physiotherapy, with a young family of my own, that the desire to return home took hold. I wanted to raise my kids in the same warm community I benefited from, and provide a service to the residents.
Southern Riverina Physiotherapy was the result. My aim is to provide quality Physiotherapy services to all, across their lifespan, be they born with challenges, injured, recovering from illness, affected by disability, preventing injury, or ageing with style.
I am an avid believer of functional training and incorporate this into my rehabilitation program. My aim is to enrich the lives of others by assisting them to achieve the greatest amount of movement and comfort possible.
